IoT Software Engineering Intern

  • arrow_right_alt Architected the firmware for a Quectel EC800G cellular module using dedicated, independent threads for sending and receiving data, establishing a secure 4G LTE connection to AWS IoT Core.
  • arrow_right_alt Implemented TLS 1.2 encryption with SNI-based routing, provisioning and authenticating AWS X.509 certificates directly on the device's flash memory for verified, secure cloud communication.
  • arrow_right_alt Engineered a full-duplex MQTT client with guaranteed message delivery and careful memory buffering, preventing data overflow while parsing cloud commands in real time.
  • arrow_right_alt Diagnosed and resolved hardware-level control-flow and network packet failures between the embedded device and AWS servers, ensuring reliable end-to-end connectivity.

Student Research Intern

  • arrow_right_alt Designed a hybrid wireless receiver combining a pretrained neural network with a classical detection algorithm, achieving a measurable performance gain over the existing baseline without retraining either model.
  • arrow_right_alt Derived the optimal weighting between both detection methods through statistical analysis, validating the result with strong statistical confidence across thousands of simulated test cases.
  • arrow_right_alt Outperformed a larger, previous-generation neural network approach while using significantly fewer parameters and zero additional training time.
  • arrow_right_alt Documented the complete methodology and results in a published IEEE conference paper.
